It's recommended to update regularly, as minor upgrades may include small incompatibilities (see Versioning Policy). Avoid letting too many changes accumulate — frequent updates make maintenance easier and reduce the risk of issues.
To update Lightna packages and entry files, simply run make self-update.
If you have customizations in entry files, manually merge them before committing.
When updating Lightna, also update the Magento module to ensure compatibility:
composer require lightna/magento-module-frontend
